PROPOSED TREES FOR LADD’S ADDITION STREETS (5/14)
The City will soon update its 1988 street tree plan for Ladd’s Addition. The board of Save Our Elms has proposed the following:
Ulmus japonica x Ulmus wilsoniana “Morton” Accolade: Ladd, Elliott, Ladd Circle, Birch, Lavender, south block of Larch, south block of Hemlock
Ulmus wilsoniana Prospector: 12th (narrow strips), south end of Elliott (under power line on east side)
Acer miyabei “Morton” State Street: Mulberry, Maple, Poplar, Locust, Cypress, Tamarack, Hickory, Orange, Spruce, 16th south of alley between Hawthorne and Holly, Harrison on West and East Gardens (wide strips)
Acer truncatum x Acer platanoides “Warrenred” Pacific Sunset: 20th, Clay, 16th north of alley between Hawthorne and Holly (narrow strips), parts of Harrison with narrow strips
Betula nigra BNMTF Dura-Heat*: Palm, north block of Larch
Tilia cordata Greenspire: Hazel, north block of Hemlock
Cercidiphyllum japonica: Holly

1988 STREET TREES PLAN
The City’s 1988 street trees plan was written to support and update the original 1910 street trees and garden plan for of Ladd’s Addition, clarify what trees belong on each street and to provide tree removal, maintenance and replanting guidelines.
